More than fifty years ago, we created a philanthropic foundation to support causes near to our hearts. Back then, we couldn’t imagine that our family businesses would earn places on the Fortune 500, allowing us to dedicate more than $4 billion—so far—to philanthropy.

When Eli left the world of business in 1999, we committed ourselves fully to giving back by advancing the public good in education, science, and the arts. We support leaders, programs, and organizations that

• Expand learning opportunities for children in Los Angeles and across the country

• Advance major scientific and medical research

• Share visual and performing art with the widest possible audience
